my gf is leaving me to study abroad for 3 months. i have a month vacation coming up soon.... but i don't wanna spend too much money. i don't want to be stuck in korea the whole time, any recommendations? i'm assuming china's the cheapest?
i lived there 2 years ago and want to go somewhere different. |

I'd go to Laos for a week or two........then I'd go chill out in a Thailand away from some of the ripoff places. Somewhere, such as Kanchanaburi would be great and cheap too.

Laos is awesome, but getting there from Korea is pretty expensive.
I'd probably go the Indonesian rout, personally. You can get to Bali for under 600,000 using Air Asia, and you can live very, very cheaply once you're there. If you did Bali and the eastern islands (Lombok, the Gilis, Komodo, Flores), you would have a nice mix of developed party places and the rugged outdoors. If you wanted you could wrap Yogyakarta into the same trip and see some truly massive temples. |

Myanmar and Thailand are also awesome, but airfare from Korea is the expensive part. |
