|
|
Hi,
Finishing my public school contract at the end of February.
If I want to get a job in a hagwon, will I have to give them an apostilled copy of my degree or will the original do?
And what about police check? Does the fact that I'm on an E2 at the moment mean that they'll consider me "clean" in my home country and thus not need a new police check?
And how about a medical? |

If you have not yet submitted notarized, apostilled copies of your degree and CBC, then you will have to do so now. |

To whom?
I submitted them when I got the public school job that I'm in at present.
Will I have to get my degree apostilled and CBC done again if I'm transferring my E2 visa to another employer? |

As far as I know Kraggy you do not need new documents for simply transferring your E2 to a different employer.
The only problem arises if uou have left Korea for 3 months or longer since you initially submitted the documents.
You might want to check with the immi hotline though. |

If you are not from the US you are probably good for a renewal or transfer.
Anyone who obtained a new E2 AFTER Jan, 2011 is good to make a transfer without the need for new documentation (cbc/dgree copy).
If your apostilled (national) cbc and apostilled degree copy were used after July 2010 you are good.

Thanks Julius, thanks Tom.
Yeah, got my E2 visa last April so my new employers will presume that I have a degree and a clean background etc? That's great.
Thanks again. |
