ok, I know nothing about games.
but I heard that with Xbox live you can download games directly to the machine from the website.

so why would I have to deal with the hassle of importing a game from play asia or from a korean site with risks of region codes, or no English etc..

seem so easy, just whip out the credit card, download and bam! I am playing in a matter of minutes.

can someone help me to see what I am missing here?

is it that with a hard case game I can take it over to friends houses to play?

big blockbuster retail games (Halo: Reach, Mass Effect 2) typically are disc only. some games would fill up your hard drive pretty fast if they were downloadable.

download games are mostly arcadey games or some older games that were originally on disc.

there are a lot of very fun, cheap games available for download though.

Ditto on most of previous posters points.

How big is your hardrive? Mine's 60 gigs. Only about 52 usable gigs. I have 6 games installed on it, a couple albums, 1 demo and it is full.

You cannot resell Downloaded games. In Korea the resale market is amazing. Buy a game for 50 and sell it for 40.

I have very little problem finding English games here. Just do your homework before you commit.

I will get a 250gig hard drive, or I could get a 500 , doesn't matter

Don't they have game shops here where you can hire games for like a dollar or 2 for a couple nights? video shops etc...?

where do you resell games? and where do you buy second hand games?
thanks..

No, there is no game rental in Korea.

If you live in Busan or Seoul the game shops are easy to find. Other parts of Korea they are probably lacking.

Big Harddrive would solve part of your problem, but there is still the fact that many games are unavailable via download. Check xbox.com to see which ones are available.
