Is is possible if you have been in Korea for a few years?
There's been some talk of this among recruiters.

Any truth to it?

Here's my understanding, per what immigration told my school and what has been said here: if you started your current contract prior to August of this year (or something along those lines), you can get a waiver for 2011 if you're staying at the same school. If you're changing schools, on the other hand, I think you need all the current documents. As is often the case with Korea though, it probably entirely depends on what immigration office or consulate you use.
