I went to get a letter of graduation verification from my school (again) and they have since switched to an online degree verifying service through studentclearinghouse.org. Basically you pay them $6 and they verify that you got a degree on the date you got it. It seems a little too simplistic to be of any use, and they just want me to print it off the page. If I can get an apostille on it, would I be able to use it for the new E-2 requirements?

short answer = no.

For the E2 application the Korean Immigration Service REQUIRES a "true" (notarized) copy of the original degree with apostille.

You may be able to get a job based on it but until you get your actual parchment in your hand (and authenticated with an apostille) you will NOT be able to get an E2.

I read on the immigration website and it said that a certificate of graduation verification would be suitable with an apostille. I got one of those before, but now my school doesn't offer them. I assumed that was because the degree verify thing would be the equivalent. Guess I have to spend $130 on a copy of my degree then.
