I think there is a lot more that goes into legally teaching privates than just your visa status.

You have to register yourself with the powers that be to do it properly. Basically, the government wants to know who is making money tutoring so they can tax it.

As far as EPIK goes, most contracts say that you will not work outside of the school. Can they lock you up for doing it? No, but it could be grounds for termination. I'm not 100% sure though. I doubt most schools would fire you over this, especially if they like you well enough and your tutoring is not messing with your responsiblities and parents aren't complaing about it. But you do run the risk.

As a government employee (EPIK / public office of education) the short answer is NO (it has nothing to do with your visa status). The rule is the same for the K-teachers.

ive heard that information before. i was just hoping that there was some sort of loophole or exception. my husband is a fireman (also restricted from other sources of employment) and he said that im not considered a government worker because of the one year only contract. in his opinion that law didn't apply to me.

is it legal for a contract to restrict teaching privately with an f2 visa for non government employees?

also how would i go about legally teaching privates?

thanx in advance ^^

You cannot do it legally if you work for a government agency (public school system). If you are caught AND they push it, it will cost you your job.

If you want to do it, do it quietly and no-one will care as long as you don't promote it in your school.
