Any chance of not having to get the criminal background check when renewing with the same school for a third year? |

Usually, you don't need this for a second year. Why are you worried about a third year? Did they make you get one for your second year? |

I heard it didn't matter how many years you renewed but when you did it.
Last I read if you renewed after the first of this year, you had to do the CBC. |

Ah, Korean immigration laws. I'm on the third year of my contract and I only had to jump through those hoops initially. I would like to know if I have to go through document hell should I choose to sign on again, though, and if this varies from province to province, or indeed, city to city. I first came here in 2002, and I have never felt like I had my head around the immigration laws for more than 6 months at a time, and in only 1 place at a time. Seriously, Korea, get your s**t together. It's a joke. |
