|
|
Hello,
What is the aprox cost of a Visa run from Seoul to Osaka? How long should it take? If more than one day is there a cheap hostal or hotel nearby the Visa office?
If someone can give me full details on this I would truly appreciate it.
Thanks ahead of time.

For ease and convenience it will cost you US$200.
There is a hotel directly across the street from the consulate. $100 per night.
$20 for your train to/from the airport.
$60 for your visa.
$20 for misc costs (like eating).
IF you want to spend the night on the town you can add another $100 to that.
Remember to take YEN. Do NOT take won out of Korea. Buy Yen at ICN or at the bank in town (same rate so do whatever is most convenient for you).
There are FULL particulars on the Osaka visa run available in the Travel forum sticky threads (top of the page).

That's a very shoestring budget. Whenever you go somewhere it is always good to bring along some emergency cash in cash in case things don't go along exactly as planned.
If you've done the run so much that you can do it in your sleep then you can be that precise; otherwise best to bring along some extra cash than be sorry.
The above assumes you will navigate that train trip from the airport to the consulate find that hotel file your visa that day and find a place that will feed you for breakfast, lunch and dinner 20 dollars with ease.
Japan is a place where when you make mistakes it can get costly real quick. |
