I have a hard time finding clothes here. I'm 6'3" and about 190lbs. Back in Canada I'm still on the bigger end of things but finding clothes is not that hard. Here in Korea, it's another story. I can find most casual clothes but I'm getting tired of wearing nothing but jeans, t shirts and hoodies. I need to know where I can find some nice casual and more formal type clothes that will fit me. I don't mind spending money on good quality clothes as long as they fit well! Any help? |

6'1" 170lbs - My fav. store for nice clothing. They sell from jeans to suits and everything inbetween. Nice, but be prepared to pay a little for it. This isn't Dongdaemun (and they sell larger sizes then what I buy):
Zara (Gangnam, COEX, and another location or 2 in Seoul) |

Thanks! I have been in Zara but didn't look too hard as I was a little turned off by the price. But if they fit well I definitely don't mind paying for it. I'll check it out next time I'm in the area. |

I usually just shop at the department stores. I really like Hazzys, Henry Cottons, and sometimes Bean Pole. They are all Korean brands, so a bit more expensive, but if you go during a sale then you can get up to 30% off. These brands also have outlet stores, and the prices there are cheaper. I actually like the fit of Korean brands better as they are slim cut. By the way, I'm 6'2", 185lbs. |

Thanks! I will check them out too. I haven't had much luck with the Korean brands though. Although I do like the slimmer cut I find sometimes it is too slim. My biggest problem is shirt length in the body and sleeves, if only they would add a few more inches... |

Pretty much everywhere in Itaewon has big and tall sizes, though they run more toward the big side. And sometimes the selection is awful.
Also the option of getting stuff custom made. Can get expensive for suits, pants, etc, but for dress shirts it's not bad. (40,000ish) |

Go to the Iteawon underground market. The have all different waist sizes for westerners and they will hem the pants to size for you. Make sure you haggle over the price with them. |

There are plenty of tailors around who'll make stuff to measure, and it's not too expensive I think. Try Hamilton shirts in Itaewon, I think I spend about 30 000 a shirt there (can't remember exactly). I've had a few suits made here too, they've cost me 400 000-500 000 for one jacket and two trousers, at cheaper tailors you can get one for as low as 250 000. You might find somewhere that would just make trousers if you ask around. If you haggle you can often get a shirt or other bits and pieces thrown in as 'service', but you might need to go with a Korean speaker to help translate. |
