Why don't you just try barley tea (보리차) or eat some fruit? Or have apple juice. Pretty sure that works.

If you get the barley tea, get it in tea bags (티백) and don't leave the bag in too long after you've boiled the water. The tea should be a light color.

If you use a large tea kettle, boil about a liter of water, then add the bag.

If you use a hot water dispenser, put the water in your mug, then add the bag, but don't leave in too long. Then reuse the bag for successive cups.

Drink it slowly. After a few cups, you should feel better.

You could also buy fruit muesli and have it with soy milk. That could work.

Hope that helps.

I think the pharmacies have laxitives, too, but not sure they're ovrer the counter. I don't know the Korean word for laxitive, but you could look it up, write it down and show them.

Good luck.

Yes. You should be able to purchase a suitable remedy from any pharmacy.

Please give me laxatives - 완하제 점 주세요

or for something a bit more fast acting...

Please give me enema medicine - 관장약 점 주세요
(This will probably be a little squeezy bottle that you, err.. 'administer' in the privacy of your home toilet)

Happy movements!

Man that's weird - in China, Taiwan, Korea (somewhat) I always have the runs, no matter what I do or eat. For a while I was worried about it, but then every time I go back to South Africa or a western country it stops, bizarre I know but no jokes.

I'm sure your local yak guk can help you, if not try beer + coffee + Taco Bell + an Indian curry, at the same time preferably.

Lots of water before bed and lots of fluids in the morning. Coffee and tea are great as well as cold water.

Perhaps a vibrating toothbrush would suffice.

Don't bother with the lax. Go natural and do a salt water flush. Google it. I try to knock one out once a month. Gives your insides a good scrubbin'!

buy a fiber supplement online or at the foreign market near the hannam. everyone needs fiber, we dont' get enough fiber in our diets. this is why colon cancer is a huge risk with people who eat lots of meat. it's not the amount of meat, it's the lack of fiber to help aid the digestion of it.

and the other alternative to a laxative is TACO BELL. or as i like to say, taco hell.

I was going to suggest the same thing. OP, you might do what I did when I was cleansing, and drink a laxative type tea (barley tea is fine, cheap, and plentiful) the night before and then do the salt water flush in the morning. Just get up an hour or so earlier than normal. You can lay down after you drink the salt water concoction, preferably on your right side.
Enjoy!

I suggest to the OP to go to Itaewon Medical Clinic. I was on this horrible detox thing, and they give you this can of stuff which kind of tastes like a bad soda. Anyways, whatever that is, IT WORKS.

Get that, whatever it is...
