I've looked through the forum a bit and I've read up on getting a visa for China. It looked like Soho travel was pretty highly recommended so I emailed them for info to see if they could do both Vietnam and China. (I have more than 6 months left on my ARC)
They emailed me back that it'd be at 215,000 Won for Double entry (205,000 +10,000 since I'm not booking through them). That seems ridiculously high, is it? Or am I just being cheap.

Also, they quoted me 85,000 won for Vietnam but in this thread it looks like I can get it for about 10,000? http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=198086

I know that this question gets asked a lot but I couldn't find anything super recent, so I'm not sure if prices have gone up in general or just with Soho.

You can probably just get the Vietnam visa yourself in China. I got mine in Laos in less than an hour, I assume it's similar if you do it in China. It was really painless.

EDIT: Painless and definitely way cheaper than 85,000.

Are you a US passport holder?
If so, then it's not the agency but Chinese Consulate that demands such a high fee. See for yourself: http://kr.china-embassy.org/chn/lsqz/ls_qz/ls_qz_1/t229323.htm
