i have a fedex account under my Discover card that i started in america. i'm afraid the fedex in korea won't accept it so i'll just start a new account.

anyway, my question is, when i send the CBC to the FBI, i need to include a prepaid envelope inside the package. what's the best way to express this when i get to fedex? i went to one fedex in gangnam yesterday and asked if they can do that and the guy seemed clueless as to what i was talking about and then he ended up saying that they don't do that in korea. but that's simply retarded.

My advice is to have someone in your home country pay for another envelope when you need it.

It's been awhile since I've used FedEx, but if I remember correctly you should be able to grab an envelope, attach a billing slip, fill in the FBI as the sender and your Korean address as the receiver and include it inside with your application. As long as your FedEx account number is on the billing slip it should get picked up, shipped and charged accordingly. I don't believe that you will actually need the FedEx clerk to do anything special.

Also, there's a spot on the 'Applicant Information Form' (FBI Form 1-783), under 'Return Mail Options' that allows you to list your FedEx account number. If all else fails I would think that the clerk at the FBI would put your docs in a FedEx envelope, write down your account number and send it out.

Please let us know how this goes for you. Hope this helps.

This. That's what I did; put my FedEx account number, and they did the rest. I sent it in via Korean Post, so i didn't have an envelope to include. They handle that.

I think this is right. I went to Busan FEDX. I got an envelope and a waybill. I filled it all it in with my account and sent it off with the prints.

They threw it away. They just put my account number on it and billed me on their own label and envelope.

On the other hand, the Department of State DID use my envelope and had written INTERNATIONAL waybill.
