I'm Filipino-American, moving to the Seoul area soon for EPIK. Does anyone know if there are any Filipino restaurants anywhere around where I can get my fix? Maybe like a Goldilock's or Max's Chicken? Thanks! |

don't expect any chains. there might be the isolated restaurant or two in areas near the bases (dongducheon, possibly itaewon or osan air base)
failing that your best bet is sundays at hyehwa station - i forget the exit number but it's near the cathedral. filipino market sets up and they have some street food. not a bad fill for $5.
fried chicken is everywhere. just as good as you might expect filipino-style, it just doesnt come with gravy.
filipino restaurants aren't all that prevalent in america...so you can expect them to be even rarer in korea. there are enough filipinos that there are a few pinoy markets around (the aforementioned sunday street market, and a few others). so if you can cook, that will help you greatly. |

I think some of the Filipino markets in Ansan have small restaurants attached, as do those in Busan. |
