| a friend wants me to ship her black menthol marlboro cigarettes to the UK. i went to the customs website but didn't see anything about tobacco. the website does say it restricts "agricultural products." anyone know? and if i CAN send her cigarettes, can i send a whole carton? |

| I've had them get stopped before, but I also know people who've gotten them through. You're definitely not allowed to, as you're circumventing tobacco taxes by sending cigarettes through the mail. If you don't mind having them potentially not make it through customs, go for it. |

I've had cigarettes sent to me, and mail out multiple times, no problems.
Here's the method:
Take cigarettes out of the carton when you put them in the box. 20 packs of cigarettes are the maximum allowed per shipment.
Thats all. On the customs form you just write "Tobacco Gift". I'm not sure about the UK's laws with regards to shipping cigarettes, but I know I can send and received 2 cartons to/from USA no problems. |
