I'm currently fostering a dog who gave birth to six puppies. The puppies are now 9 weeks old and are ready for their forever homes.

There are 3 boys and 3 girls.

They're all active and in good health.

The adoption fee is 50,000 won each.

If you are interested in one of these pups, please click here to go to their profile page for more information. Right now, they're located in Anyang, which isn't very far from Seoul.

BOYS
Ace ADOPTED
Leo
Oreo

GIRLS
Eva
Winnie
Clear ADOPTED

"Adoption fee." lol.

Edit: I take back what I said. Didn't see this until now:

"This will go towards Cleos heartworm treatment or her spay (I really dont want her to get pregnant again)"

I'm just tired of people selling dogs and giving some BS excuse about an adoption fee when they're just trying to make a profit. Doesn't look like the OP is doing that though. Hope you can find a good home for them, I really wish I could take one or two of them.

If you go to the animal rescue Korea link above the adoption fee will go toward spaying of the mother dog or heartworm treatment.

This person has been feeding and looking after these puppies and wants to find them a permanent home. That's fantastic in my books:)

Seems to be a 50,000 won adoption fee at all the animal shelters in Korea. Pretty standard, as far as I can see.

Shelters in the US all charge fees too. They spend the money, quite reasonably, on their own expenses. Not much income in animal rescue.

The reason for the fees is probably multiple, though- if you don't charge anything, it makes impulse adoption easier. And impulse adoption is one of the reasons animals wind up in shelters...

Best,
Justin

PS- CUTE puppies. I'm only short term in Korea, so can't adopt. But they are LOVELY.

They will most likely be medium sized. Eva and Oreo are almost as tall as their mom now, but then again, those two have really long legs. Right now, it seems like they will all be bigger than their mom.

Oh man. I'm in Anyang, and I miss having a pet around, and I COULD afford the 50k won for one of these cuties... but I think my contract says I'm not allowed to keep a pet while I'm here. The apartment contract, not the school one. Sad

They are adorable, though! Best of luck finding them good homes!

edit:

I sent an application form to annie and hopefully, I'll be approved to meet these little guys!

My girlfriend absolutely fell in love with clear and really hopes you don't find her a home before we get a chance to meet her. Taking time to make people submit an actual application really makes it seem like you care about these little guys and aren't just doing it for profit. Honestly, $50 isn't much of a profit anyway, my students were looking to sell me their Pomeranian puppies for 400,000won and actually managed to sell a few for 250 to 300 to other members of their church. same price as a pet store haha

Thanks so much for your interest! Once your application is approved, we can set up a time for you to come meet the puppies.

-----------------------------

Also, to clarify a couple things, the 50,000 won adoption fee isn't for profit. It will be used towards their mother's heartworm treatment or spay. Any money leftover will be donated towards other animals in need. So I'm not making any money out of this.

Also, all the puppies are still available and are just waiting for their forever homes =)

hello sweettempest!

annie replied to my email and asked me more questions. she's VERY informed about pet laws! especially Canadian laws since I'm guessing she's Canadian haha. I've been waiting for her reply to set up a time to meet these little guys. We've already picked out which dog fence we're gonna buy. i didn't wanna get TOOOO excited in case i was rejected =(
the dog fence was a biggie cuz all of the other stuff, we can get from the stores around our neighborhood but the fence, we'd have to do a little commuting.

anyway, i wasn't implying you were gonna take the 50,000won and use it for profit. that comment was more directed towards one of the earlier posters saying you could be "saying" that it's a donation fee, but really for something else. I actually read the other thread where it clearly states it would go for cleo's spaying or medicine. haha

anyway!! hopefully, we can set up a meeting some time soon! it's getting a little cold out haha we've already had our first snow!

Yes, the puppies should be heartworm negative since heartworms cannot be transmitted to them by their mom. It only comes from an infected mosquito, and considering that the puppies weren't born until fall, it should be safe to say they don't have heartworms =)

Thanks so much for your interest! I really hope everything works out and that one of them will finally find a forever home with you! I'm getting excited too because many people have expressed interest in adopting one but once they find out about the application form, I never hear from them again. So I'm really glad that you're serious about adopting one of them because these puppies really deserve their forever homes^^
