There are two meetings. Tuesday and Friday nights. The main one is Friday (Tuesday is the beginner meeting) night. 9pm t 11pm at the Central Park Cafe downtown.
The format is there are tables with koreans wanting to learn and study englsh. A native speaker is assigned to a table as moderator or sometimes if they are new someone else moderates and you participate.
There is a modest cost for the native speaker (2k won). Reason is drinks are odered and to cover costs. Format is introductions first, then the table is asked if anyone knows any jokes as an ice breaker. Then next at least two idioms and native speakers are asked to provide these typically so be prepared to bring a few. After that, usually the last hour or last 45 minutes a topic is discussed.
After the meetng there is what is called '2nd round' where those that want to meet everyone at each table and mix and minle, go to a restaurant nearby. Food and alocohol are ordered. The cost is 5k a piece.
Its a good way for new foreigners to not only meet koreans and make friends with them but also other foreigners.
