I'm getting married in May and am currently planning the honeymoon. I've spend hours looking over websites and trying to decide where to go. But I just can't seem to find that special place.

I was wondering if anyone has been on a fantastic trip somewhere in Asia or perhaps even the South Pacific. If anyone has some suggestions, that would be great. Keep in mind that it is my honeymoon, so no hostels or cheap hotels. I want a resort that is right on the beach. Thanks

Maybe asking your marriage partner would be a good idea?

Lots of peeps go to Phuket, Bali, or Boracay. There's a start. If you want something more private, I'm sure you can find it in near there.

The Maldives.

Won't be cheap but it won't be there in a couple of decades either (lost to sea levels rising).

It will be something to tell your kids about (taking a honeymoon in a country that disappeared beneath the waves).

Jeju is the only choice. It's considered to be the Hawaii of Asia.

Argh, beat me to it. You can always consider Tongyeong, "The Naples of Korea." http://www.skynews.co.kr/article_view.asp?mcd=231&ccd=6&scd=9&ano=86

Hoi An, Vietnam.

Memorable, quaint, good food, beach close by, not too expensive (like Fiji), can spend a day getting clothes tailored made.

It doesn't matter, just make sure that you book into a hotel where they have comfortable beds and will change your sheets often.

I can't imagine spending more than a day or two in that museum of a town.
