So sometimes I have trouble sleeping. Usually happens one one or two weeks out of the year. I usually have a low dose Valium when it happens.

Will it be a problem bringing it to Korea with a prescription?

No. I would just put it in my luggage and not say anything. Make a photocopy of the prescription and store it with the pills and keep the original somewhere else if you want to be really safe. I wouldn't mention it to anyone since its none of their business and may get blown out of proportion.

You can also get Xanax here at the drop of a hat. I went to the doc yeaterday and told him I needed to relax after work, without hitting the bottle. Bang, 30 X 0.5mg Xanax.

DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR CHECKED LUGGAGE!

you wont have any problems with tsa (they actually prefer that you pack your meds in your carry on) or customs here. theyve never asked or pulled me aside for special screening in 10+ years of international travel with "harder" drugs.

you shouldnt need a photocopy of the prescription (which wont do you any good here) -- your name and that of the meds/dosage are printed on the bottle. i suggest you bring as much as your doctor is willing to prescribe unless youre willing to accept the low-grade generic diazepam and alprazolam made in korea.

ok great. Thanks for the info.

As for getting it in Korea, I have no problem with taking generics. Should I have a problem with taking generics in Korea?

As for Xanax i've never taken it. I rarely take drugs ever, but sometimes I have a hard time passing out. Does it work similarly to 2.5 mg Valium?

i am not against generic drugs. i take them here, in the states and europe.

generic diazepam and alprazolam made in korea; however, is noticably weaker.

since youve never taken xanax, i dont know how wise it would be for you to switch without asking your doctor at home first. xanax/alprazolam is MUCH easier to get here (as stated by the poster above) but it may not work for you.

I would love to get my hands on Xanax. I am stressed and it is causing stomach problems. Just need to find out who to go to and how to ask...
