So I need to start making this stuff and buying it.

Any korean websites or stores that have affordable camera lighting equipment to buy from?

I don't need pro lighting, just some place here that sells lower end lighting tripods, wireless triggers, backgrounds, etc.

Go to Namdaeum/Chungmuro.

What specifically are you looking for? I bought some umbrellas, mounts, tripods, etc from a place in Chungmuro. I personally like the film camera area better than the digital area. Quieter, nice atmosphere.

You'll pay an arm and a leg.

For backgrounds, take the advice and visit the fabric warehouses around Namdaemun.

For studio lighting, you'll do no better than to go to a district of those small mom-and-pop-owned repair shops. I did so, and saved hundreds of dollars compared to the overpriced junk around Dongdaemun or online. For my own video work, I bought a bunch of white floodlights, rigged up my own stands, and made light diffusers with rip-stop nylon and PVC piping.
