A very interesting name this school has... does anyone know of it? The school is located in Seoul. I've tried to find any anecdotal mention of it (here and through google search) but fail to find anything. |

On the basis of the name it does sound like a mathematics school. The reason I labeled it as 'interesting', however, is that the full name is Michigan Fibonacci Language (MFL) institute. So, it's an ELL hagwon.
The name is alleged to come from 'Fibonacci cognitive development' theory. I've not before heard of this theory... The little bit of discussion on the school's website suggests that 'Fibonacci' is in reference to 'natural growth and development'... so maybe it's not some recursive model of cognitive development? ;) The school's president appears to be a Korean American. Whether it's for real or not, I'll admit the somewhat esoteric, intellectual approach to marketing their school caught my attention. Refreshing in comparison to the Wonderland childhood fantasy themes. |

Cool name.
Whether or not it's a legit language institute is another question. My guess it's just another hagwon trying to milk a few bucks from the industry. Zero qualifications needed. |

Michigan was only the state in the US that actually went down in population. Detroit is considering destroying homes and turning the empty crack houses into agricultural land just so they can get some tax revenue. Detroit and Flint are neck in neck in the top 3 most dangerous cities in the US. The whole state is a waste land of empty factories that once were the GM back in the day. Why anyone would want to call anything after Michigan is beyond me. |
