so i am considering getting a little bunny from someone in another area of seoul. my question is, what is the etiquette about transporting animals in the city? i know some people bring their dogs on the subway sometimes, but what about a cage with a rabbit? i feel like that wouldn't go over well. what about the bus? i don't really want to pay the extra money for a cab if i don't have to... |

Depending on how far you have to go, it might not be a big deal. Cover the cage with a blanket/towel and try not to go during a super busy/crowded time of day (if there is such a thing on Seoul subways).
I wound up shelling out 20k won for a cab from around Jamsil to Anyang, which was better than I was expecting, and I didn't have to worry about getting jostled on the subway or bus. The cab also took me right to my door, which meant less exposure to cold for my new bunny.
Others more experienced with public transit probably know more about the rules for that than I do. I'm going to pick up a small pet carrier to take my bunny to the vet via subways, so I hope that works out okay. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out! |
