Liquor store?

I know I've seen it here and there was an article in that Itaewon magazine, "PR" last month about Makers Mark. So, some place in Itaewon has it. Otherwise, keep your eyes open son! It's out there.

I don't think you can get it in any liquor stores yet.

PR had a massive Maker's Mark party a couple of weeks ago at the Macaroni Market/Club Function. They even had a dipping event with Ray Bradford, the international ambassador. A bunch of people got to dip their own bottles and get them signed, etc.

They've started putting bottles in bars around Itaewon, and a few places in Hongdae. Korean men are big on whisky/whiskey so I'd imagine you'll see it around more in the very near future.

I do know that they carry it at Function and B1 in Itaewon.

As do I...which is why I currently have about 4 litres of it at home.

Having a gang of cabin crew friends is nice on a lot of levels. Very Happy

YES!!! This is something I should have posted a while back. I got a bottle at the duty-free in Frisco right before I came here and it is still sitting on a shelf unopened untill i 1. Hit the 6 month mark, or 2. Find a place that sells it. Makers was the only food/beverage item I took with me. If anyone knows where I can find some, let me know.

And Franks Red Hot sauce. Makers and Franks are my two passions from back home.

befriend an american service man... or woman. They can get all of this stuff on base. As long as they are just giving you a single bottle or two as a gift, it isn't breaking the rules. If they are selling it to you... that is a no no.

I found it! Smile
Lotte Mart in Cheonan has it.

Before you get too happy, it is expensive (49000 for 750ml) but it can be regularly bought here.

Unless you pick one up from a duty free shop or through an American service member as mentioned above, Namdaemun Imports Arcade is the best bet for a variety of spirits. The 'best bet' is, of course, after getting marked up for brutal tax and duty of around 160%.

They sell it at a couple of bars I go to in Seohyeon. Pub 210, for sure, and I think also Traveler's.

I've seen it in a couple of liquor stores but I don't remember where...maybe in Itaewon. It is expensive though because of the stupid mega-tariff that Korea puts on all imported alcohol. It's going to be hit or miss whether the store carries it.
