|

Greetings all,
So I was at a Shinhan ATM recently, and made the mistake of getting my money in check form rather than cash (apparently you can push the wrong button and have this happen).
My question is: can this check be used at a store, particularly a bigger one like HomePlus or some such? Otherwise I'll have to deposit said check back into my account and feel a bit foolish.
Anyone had experience with this? Let me know, thanks. |

Yes, you use it just like cash, but I've heard that you might need to write your name and/or phone number on it. However, I've never been asked to do this. The only problem may be getting a small store to change it, for a small purchase, but you'd also have that problem with a 50,000 won note.
Short answer: use it just like cash. |

You can use them just like cash. I've never had a problem using them. Sometimes it's better to have them if you need to pay a large bill somewhere or if you don't like that "heavy wallet" of too many 10,000 won bills. |
