From London to Moscow via train, Trans siberian to Beijing, ferry to Korea, start next job.
I'm almost certain nobody has done this before but if someone here has, that would be sweet. If it's feasible, with visa issues and job issues and all, I might try it next summer...
Just dreamin, y'know. |

don't you already live and work here?
Plenty of people do the London to Beijing thing. I'm sure a number have continued on to Korea (and then Japan, likely) by ferry. |

Oh yeah I meant I don't imagine many have done it on their way to a new contract job in Korea. Which is what I was wondering about. I do live here but I will go back to England and travel Europe etc first.
I'm cool like that. |

I met a couple who did that, they're teaching a winter camp in Busan at the moment then off travelling Asia.
I'm going to do it in reverse when my contract is up in June, stopping on the way to do a CELTA somewhere in eastern Europe. |

That sounds awesome. I think I would prefer to do it the other way at the end of my contract. That seems like a very long way to go and I think I would get side tracked and not make it to work by the start date. |

This has always been my going home plan, I really hope it's possible with my savings If I can I'm going to do a stop off in Central Asia and volunteer at a camp for a few weeks in the middle, too. |

Even more adventurous. I suppose going TO a job does give time restrictions, and I may want to explore... *rubs chin*
I'd say going back from this contract but I finish in a month, not enough time to plan I think, Visas etc. hmm |

Do it! You've enough time, visas are fairly last minute things anyway, a travel agent could knock them up for you within a week.
It's a good time to do it as it's out of peak season and the fares will be cheaper, I reckon you could travel from Korea to Moscow for well under 450 if you book in the right places. The only thing which would stop me at the moment is the temperatures, I'm waiting until spring. |

Yeah, It's all in the name.. Trans SIBERIAN. Siberia is latin for 'cold', or something.
Still. I'm gonna look up some visa info in depth. I hear It's possible I could be denied. |
