Sale started today and as I checked, one can get a roundtrip ticket between Incheon and Manila for 135,000 Krw including everything. From
April till the end of June. Too bad I don't have much time during that period...

Damn, things just got a bit dangerous in the Phils.

MANILA, Philippines (AP) Authorities stepped up security at bus terminals, ports and airports Wednesday as officials suspected Muslim militants could be behind a bus bombing that killed five people in the bloodiest attack in the capital in six years.

Yep, it's now only 20% of what the minimum airfare to Manila went for up until today. Terrorism always temporarily stifles tourism and other non-essential travel. One time to the Phils is enough for me, but the diving is what repeat customers go for; not people, culture, cities, and historic places.

Sorry dude, but I DO like the Phils for the people, cities and culture. There's a lot more to the Phils than meets the eye though I'll admit Philippine food is not my favorite by any stretch.

The people are still happy despite their circumstances and still love to laugh, have fun and sing. I love going to the Phils even if I stay in my hotel room or don't see all the beaches or sites, and I'm not alone in this assessment.

The cities are lackluster but good to go once. I liked the people except for the ones who look at you like a walking ATM. They are polite about it most of the time, but still annoying.

The food is blah, but better for me than Korean food. It's fusion-ish but western enough to satisfy me.

History: Not my cup of tea.

Diving: of course. And yes, it garners them a lot of repeat visitors.

Islands: Just so many of them and some are soooooooooo beautiful, it'd be impossible in your liftime to see every one of them. The transportation system needs improvement in a lot of areas.

Oh yeah, Boracay is an overrated overpriced shoothole.
