An ad for this new group came across my wall feed on Facebook. Could be helpful for people looking to supplement their teaching income..

It's illegal for E2s, so not the wisest group to join. F-visa holders would benefit, though.

obviously you'd have to be smart about it.. F2's would benefit from part time and privates.. E2's could benefit from other things, such as business ideas or internet opps..

Joining the group as an E2 is not smart. It's simple.

My understanding is that you can't do any extra work at all while on an E2, unless your school gives you explicit permission (which they won't). You might be able to get away with it, but it would still be risky.

any extra work with regards to teaching you can't do.. I've been doing freelance work for writing material and editing works by online communication for more than a year now.. that has nothing to do with being in Korea..

If there's those kinds of opportunities, there's no problem.. online business activities work as if you were in your own country because you're not paid in Korean won, or to your Korean account.. so it doesn't matter where you're located..

You're lucky so far and may continue to be, but that work is a violation of the terms of your visa.

Yeah, there's pretty much zero chance of getting busted, and I would say there's no moral issue in doing it, but I wouldn't go around advertising the fact.

no it's not.. cause it's not work in Korea. Doing work for people over the internet has nothing to do with your physical location. You're paid in your native currency.. that money never goes anywhere near Korea.

If I'm editing an article for someone in Australia.. who pays me through Paypal to my home account, but I'm doing it in Korea.. there is zero violation.

wouldn't you get taxed in your home country so no issue....... next someone will say having shares is illegal on an E2 visa!!

and lets not talk about morals here, nearly all my friends in Australia rip-off my Country some way or another, not paying tax, illegal jobs, paying under minimum wage. if your not ripping off Korea chances are it aint illegal and u wuldnt get caught...

- Are you willing to spend a little extra cash if it means helping out other members and eventually yourself?
