anyone live around Sungshin Women's University?

I'm coming in February and I'm looking to get an officetel around there.

I'd prefer something with 2 levels (the mini upstairs loft for your bed) and a western style washroom with the shower separated by a glass door.

Last year I lived at Wangsimni Station (which is pretty central and has 3 subway lines going to it) and I paid 650 + utilities with 10,000,000w down.

I figured since im further north, maybe ill be able to get something cheaper and a little larger.

Anyone know of a place close to the station that runs about 500-550,000w/month + utilities (im willing to pay up to 150,000w/month) with about 10 to 15,000,000w down?

thanks in advance

I live nearby and my school pays about 650/month for my place. I'm not sure about the key money. I think if you want something a little cheaper you might have to go north a bit; I've seen stuff advertised near Suyu in the 500 range.

Used to live on Mirigogae.. which is one bus stop from Sungshin.
There's an officetel there.. and the rent was 450 for a studio. My boss paid for it obviously, I don't know how much key money he put down.
If your interested, its the build with the red and green neon cross at the top of mirigogae... Ask the reverend on the second floor.. the rev I'm told speaks pretty good English. If not, you better bring a translator.. cause the building manager doesn't speak any English at all.

the building directly across the street from Seongbuk-gu Office (5 min walk from Sungshin Women Uni. Subway Station) is an officetel bldg. Korean restaurant on the bottom (would be more awesome if there was a Family Mart there instead), 15 stories high or so, I think maybe rooftop is open now to residents (wasn't when I lived there 2 years ago), fairly new building, spacious, maybe 20 pyeong is average officetel. Not sure of the cost, but it's IDEAL in terms of location. Walk to Bomun St. in 8 minutes, Sungshin Station in 5 minutes. utils ran 120,000 - 180,000 depending on season. school paid for it, but I would assume it would cost at least 10 mi down, 600/month.

also, lots of the students live there - could be a plus if you're single and looking to meet. 5 mins walk from uni.

good luck!

np. if you do get in, i'd love to know how much it actually costs.

one downfall is the street noise, but wasn't too bad on the 9th floor (street view). other side has a great view of a village of villas and is much quieter.
