I'm going to Beijing for Lunar New Year. I'll be there Wednesday - Sunday. My hotel is already paid for. I just need spending money for food, trinkets, and entrance fees. Any ideas on how much Korean money I should exchange? Thanks. |

150k. Get the rest with your atm card while you're there (make sure your card is internationally accepted if using a Korean one). |

I'm not using my ATM card while there. I'm just taking cash and wondering how much I should take. |

You could easily get by on $50 per day (taxis, food, entrance fees, etc).
In my personal experience, if you think you will be dragging back any shopping then you may want more.
Personally, I always budget $100 per day, have no worry about doing what I want, eating where I want, shopping where I want, and bring home what I don't spend.

I second $100 a day. Beijing is inexpensive, but you should always budget for hidden costs. |

depends on what you want to do. if you go to bars and stuff could spend 150us a day otherwise chinese food and sightseeing is cheap. watch out for scams such as going for tea or buying art from students. |

Thanks! Definitely not going to any bars, and I'm to paranoid to let anyone I don't know talk me into going to a tea house or "art gallery." I think I'll exchange 600k won. |
