don't want to sound condescending but how old are you? if you're asking how to use fedex and it's your first time teaching in korea.... you are going to have a LOOOONNNNNGGG year. a long year full of questions.
1. go to fedex office
2.fill out address form
3. pay |

Go to the post office and use their EMS/Priority post service.
Same as Fedex and 1/2 the price.

I am assuming maybe you want to send from there to here and you are in fact here, not there.
If so, Go to fedex.com and open an account. Tie it to a credit card or debit card. It takes a day or two for fedex to approve you. Then you will have an account number that shippers can put on their fedex labels to bill you (instead of them).
I have even gone so far as going to the Busan fedex office (I am sure there is one in Seoul also) and filling out the international waybill for the shipper. I then sent them the waybill so they had to do nothing.
If you are in fact here wanting to send to there, well other advice is better. |

Im in England at the moment and want to send them to Korea.
So you reckon the post office option is just as good?
Thanks for both your replies.
Have a good day! |

Some places specifically request certain shippers so doublecheck on that. |

Hi Ciara,
If you're posting from the UK, you'll save a WEDGE if you use interparcel.com. It basically cuts out the admin for DHL/FedEx. I paid a mere 20 pound to send my stuff over compared to forty pound plus which I was quoted on both DHL and FedEx's individual websites....
Good luck! |

I'm actually in a similar position as the OP...
...yes I'm a newbie, but no I'm not a kid and and I am quite familiar with how FedEx works stateside...(go ahead and flame- I know you want to- but someone please help out)
So, is it possible to ship door-to-door from the US- to Korea- then back to the US rapidly? What are the approximate time frames and costs?
I have documents that arrive at a relatives house on the West Coast, need to get to me (in Jeollananmdo) quickly, and then go back ASAP.
thanks |

I've used dhl twice and they were quite fast from Ireland to Korea, two days I think. It's expensive though so if there is not a mad rush, use priority post as suggested. You will have to drop it into their office to deliver unless you are sending from one business to another as far as i know. I dont think they pick up from a personal address. Ring dhl or fedex and they will explain the process and costs. Best of luck to ye. |

Put the documents in a plastic bag. Tie it to a fish and point it in the right direction. |

There are a number of cheaper options since fedex or ups will cost you a ton. If you go to your post office you can send out official documents. Just ask them to send it with a tracking number and you should be ok. They'll let you know how long everything will take and all that. If you need it really fast, you might have to go through FedEx. I shipped all of my documents from New York at it cost about 60 USD using UPS service |

Like any mail service. Put your stuff in envelope, write address and pay.

Fedex is a rip off. Don't use it, period.
I tried to ship something out and not only was it a huge hassle with all the documents I filled out, but fedex kinkos doesn't even box it for you! You have to box it somewhere else first. It was gonna cost like 120,000 to ship something, when it cost 50,000 to ship somewhere else. |
