|

Firstly I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times.
I'll looking into spending a week to ten days skiing toward the end of January. From what I've reading high1 is the best place in Korea but that Japan is much better albeit more expensive.
I am a beginner and I would like lessons and I will be travelling alone. For these reasons it would be much handier for me if I could book a package holiday but I don't mind doing a bit more work if necessary.
I wonder if people here would like to share their experiences and advice. I'm in Korea and have some Korean friends, though none who like to ski, so I can find out about Korea a lot more easily than Japan.
How much should I expect to spend in Korea and Japan respectively(renting gear, accommodation(nothing fancy) and a pass to the slopes)?
I'm also worried that I'm very late to be booking anything now.
Any pointers would be muchly appreciated! |

skiing and spending each night at a hotel/minbak by yourself for a week. 5 days skiing plus rentals and lessons. Looking at around 1 Million won.
Doing the same in Hokkaido, more like 3M won.
Flights to Sapporo are at least 600,000 won, or you could go to Nagano, via flight to Tokyo and Shinkanzen which would be cheaper. That may save you 300,000 won. |
