I'm leaving for Korea next week and got my E2 visa using the state background check since it was before Jan. 1. My recruiter told me that I would still need to bring the Federal Background check with me. I got it and sent it to DC for the apostille.
I just got the document back with the apostille on it and noticed that it says that the check is signed by "Kimberly J. Del Greci", while on the actual background check the name is spelled "Kimberly J. Del Greco."
Do you think a typo like this on the apostille will cause a problem for me when I get to Korea? Or is it nothing to worry about?

Hate to hijack this discussion but I have a related question...
This is in regards to a document that is not a requirement, a TESOL degree specifically, which may be a benefit in terms of leveraging a higher salary or competing for a job.
In this case the name is spelled on the TESOL degree with accents (about 3 different places on the name) but the name on all other documentation does not have the accents (important thing is all the other documents are spelled the same way). In what circumstances does the employer ask to see a TESOL degree and would they really be so incompetent and block-headed not to understand that its the same person given the fact that all the other letters are the same and in the same order?
In the end it is my fault for this mistake and I am trying to get it remedied but I am not getting a straight answer back and I would really like to reprint the certificate with the identical name. Anyone had a similar experience? The TESOL degree was completed a while ago... maybe a year now. |

Doubtful. The immi officers probably have mid level English at best and wouldn't notice such details. Or care. |

I would say it is a crap shoot! You might get lucky and the official will shrug shoulders and accept it or you might get one that will be difficult and will refuse it. Still I would think the first is more likely to happen. |
