If you are looking for an mmo, I'd steer clear. It plays more like a single player action game with a chat room.
I'm in the Rift beta, but it's basically WoW with slightly better graphics.
No good new mmo's until GW2, TOR, possibly Tera. |

I heard tentative beta sometime in April for Star Wars Old Republic MMO. I imagine DCU won't play much different from CoH? |

I found it very different for playstyles.
Will be getting it next week. |

If Blizzard's next MMO (Titan) is in fact a MMOFPS, it may well be the last game I ever buy. I've done enough standard RPG quests for one lifetime I think. |

digital downloads from most companies work fine here:
http://steampowered.com
http://impulsedriven.com
http://gamersgate.com
http://direct2drive.com
http://gog.com
If you like games at all, keep an eye on these sites. They have regular sales. The only trouble you might run in to is steam and if you're using a credit card or paypal from back home. If you try it, their security will kick off indicating payment and your current region don't match. Just shoot them a support ticket and they'll straighten it out. |

Both DRD and Steam, as far as I can tell, currently have DCU Online flagged as non-sellable to Korean IPs - regardless of payment method. That is why I was wondering how he got the game.
With the Amazon method, is it a special install like with Steam or just the regular install. Basically a virtual DVD file and the code? |

If you have a foreign payment method on steam you need to add ?cc=ca (for Canada) to the end of the store page and you can use the store as if you were in that country. "US" for America I think. I purchase Korea restricted games all the time on steam. |

Sorry, but I tried that and was still flagged. I used my Canadian cc but the page for dcu wont even display (Steam). I had to send an email for them to unlock Civ for me as well. |

Yea I tried steam too but couldn't find it. I figured that it blocked my IP, same with d2d. On a whim, I checked amazon and it let me, no problem. You have to download an installer (like 30mb or something), then download the game (around 12gigs). It gives you the installation key on your amazon account so that you can reinstall the game if you ever have to delete it.
If you need any help/have questions, just drop me a PM and I can walk you through it.
I'm on Cry for Blood if anyone hasn't created a character yet and needs someone to level them. Its much quicker to level a 'toon with two people and it doesn't seem to halve the xp like other mmo's. I've got like two toons at 12 already and I've only been playing since late friday night. Interested to see how endgame content will play as they've said that is where this game shines. |

Did you apply the ?cc=ca on another page first then try to go to the DC universe page?
I've got absolutely no problem viewing the page and I'm not even logged in.
added to my cart, logged in, it's right there.
Try this link directly:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/24200?cc=ca
I've no interest in playing it though so I'm not going to complete it, but works like every other restricted game I've bought here. |

How's the latency from Korea? We going to be at any kind of disadvnatage in PvP fights vs. guys who live near the server in the USA? Especially considering this game is very Action oriented and all about rock-paper-scissor moves (blocsk, interrupts, block breakers) in PvP.
How can we fight fairly in such a system if our Ping is say 220 and theirs is 20? |
