Hey all-

The Busan POE has given me precisely zero information on how this process works and I'm kind of having a heart attack about it. This is all so confusing to me. I apologize if the question has been answered before (I'm sure it has), but if anyone could help me it would definitely be a charitable act. ^^

Okay, so I work in a public school in Busan. I renewed my contract for next year, but with a change of schools. How does the visa renewal application work? I signed a document re: the national bg check and how I need that done for next year, etc., so I think I'm good on that front. But as far as renewing my visa, that's something I need to do before this contract is up, right? Or can I wait to go with my new co-teacher? Are they going to give me information or help me to do this, or am I expected to do it on my own? And what does the process entail, exactly?

Thanks for your help! ><

Honestly, there won't be any good answer here.

What is typically needed is:

ARC,
Passport,
New contract,
LOR to change schools (may not be needed if you are in the same POE - up to immigration to give the aye or nay)
guarantee form (letter of sponsorship from the new school)
copy of the new school's business registration
application
fee (30k won for the extension and 60k won for the transfer).

IF you already signed the form (with immigration) in regards to getting a new CRC or diploma copy for your next status change then you will need them before you can make the transfer.

ASK at your local immigration office to know exactly they want in that regard. Only they can tell you for sure and/or give you a pass/extension on getting the necessary documents.
