I was applying to work in South Korea through AskNow. During the application process, I figured that I may as well disclose the fact that I'm a kidney transplant recipient. AskNow immediately ended the application process, saying that the South Korean government wanted people with a "clean bill of health." I was rather displeased with their response, so I'm seeking advice here.

At this point in my life, my condition requires relatively little attention. I pretty much have labs done every three months, take four prescription meds on a daily basis, and have a checkup with a renal specialist once a year. I've studied abroad in the past, and I didn't have any medical issues during that time.

I'm still interested in teaching in South Korea. Will my condition prevent me from doing so? With my condition in mind, what pitfalls should I try to avoid when applying?

p.s. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.

You could easily go with the "Keep your mouth shut" policy. I'm not sure if they'll notice on your health check or not. I guess it depends if you've taken narcotic pain killers or not.
Any large hospital would have a nephrology department and major hospitals will probably have a transplant center.
BTW..glad to hear you're healthy. My dad's on his third transplant now.
