I'm in the market for a dual-core netbook. I think at least 2GB of RAM, maybe more. I don't need an OS, I have windows 7 starter already.
Any recommendations? I would like to buy from gmarket if possible.
Thanks for your recommendations! |

I've had my eye on the Ideapad S10-3. It's got an n550 (dual-core) and is only about 400-425K online.
The ASUS 1215n duo is really nice and has the ION2 GPU, but it is going for over 550k |

| How are you liking the speed? I've heard somewhat negative reviews about the n550's. That is, there is not a significant difference in speed in most programs. Does the model you bought have an ION2? |

It's difficult to say definitively since I haven't compared it task for task with another computer. My desktop would thrash it obviously, and our 5 year old laptops should be slower... I haven't used it for anything intensive yet, so have to wait and see...
One thing I have to say is that it came preloaded with loads of bloatware that significantly slowed it down. I went through and uninstalled more than 10 preloaded programs and it is now very snappy.
oh.. i'm pretty sure it doesn't have ION2 |

What do you think would have been a better decision carle?
Just please don't say a regular laptop; it's much faster but in a different niche altogether. |
