Does anyone know of a repair place that speaks English to get my macbook fixed?

Thanks for the website. Do you know if I can just bring my computer there or if I need to make an appointment?

Also, does anyone have any recommendation of one place over the another. I don't speak any Korean so I am hoping they will speak English there.

I think you can just walk in. Be prepared to leave your Mac.

You may also want to call Apple support first (they speak English) and describe the problem to them. That way they can have your problem on file in their system and the support center you walk into will have access to it.

I dont know if this helps, but in Yongsan, in the ETLAND building on the 1st floor facing the main road next to the Smoothie King there is a MAC store that does repairs. Might want to check it out.

We are a Mac family, with six MacBooks or MacBookPros for five of us, all covered by AppleCare or AppleCare extended. But it borders on unacceptable the repair time here. It took six weeks for Mac Squared, authorize Apple reseller, to get official Apple service for my son's MBP 17. The spacebar had broken (only worked if pushed in the center) and he babies his computer. First they said "it isn't broken, you just need to press it in the center (after it was submitted to their Seoul tech center). I refused to accept this, and then they did send it to Singapore for Apple's Asia Repair Center. But the process took six weeks to get it repaired and back! Fortunately we have a Dell Mini that he used for school in the wait time (we teach in a 1:1 laptop school, where computers are used daily).

Hopefully Apple will get the message and setup a true APPLE-OWNED repair center in Korea, and how about a genuine Apple Store in Seoul?

Then after the keyboard was repaired (probably replaced), the battery test indicator didn't work anymore. We were in Shanghai, made an appointment at the Genius Bar for the next day, and in one hour they had repaired the non-working battery test indicator. So APPLE can be efficient, but their Apple "authorized" affiliates are not necessarily efficient, but the shipping to Singapore idea is also a problem that Apple corporate can't pass off on their affiliates.

I went to the Apple Care center in Yongsan, and the guy told me it'd be 2.3 mil to fix my computer.... it's only worth about a grand.... I could buy a few new Macs for that. Can anyone recommend a specific booth that would be helpful?

That is the best place in my opinion. I never go anywhere else.
