I have been able to get some small discounts at Lottemart and Homeplus using the Korean Grand Sale card. You have to have either the Korea Grand Sale card or the printable coupon from the website at the above link. At Lottemart if you buy at least 50,000 won worth of groceries at one time you can take your receipt and the Korea Grand Sale card to the customer relations counter and they will deduct 5,000 off your receipt, on the spot, and give you some coupons.
5,000 won off your next purchase of 50,000
30% off at LotteWorld
Plus some coupons for The Face Shop, Skin Food, and innisfree.
At Homeplus, it's a little different. First you spend 70,000 won and then show the receipt and your Korea Grand Sale card at the Customer Relations counter and they will give you some coupons for your next visit.
5,000 won off your next purchase of 70,000
1 coupon for ginseng
1 coupon for laver
1 coupon for electronics
1 coupon for kimchi
All of the above coupons expire Feb 28, 2011. On the website, at the above link, you can see that many other stores are participating in the Seoul Grand Sale. It's up to you and how you shop if you want to take advantage of these offers, but I was only looking for the discounts for stores I already visit and for things I already buy. There's nothing to lose by trying it out. Just make sure the store you visit has a Korea Grand Sale sign or poster at the customer relations counter. I visited the Seoul Station Lottemart and the signs were everywhere. |

just seems like another excuse to say the word Korea and Grand in the same sentence. |

If you're already going to shop at these stores why not print out the coupon and save a few won? It won't hurt anything. |

I used it in two more places. If you show the Korea Grand Sale card at the counter of a Lotte Cinema they give you
a "Lotte Cinema Gift Book" with some coupons.
The first one has expired but the others all expire Feb 28, 2011.
2,000 won discount for 1 movie
Free movie ticket
Character product voucher for a Korean movie with English subtitles and this is redeemable at the Lotte Cinemas
at: Konkuk University, Hongik University, and Centum City
Free movie ticket for Korean film festival movies at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University from Feb 22-28, 2011

The Lotte Cinemas involved with this promotion are listed in the coupon book and are not all Lotte Cinemas in Korea. But there are
Lotte Cinemas listed in: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungchang, Jeolla, Daegu, Busan, and Gyeongsang.
The other place I used the Korea Grand Sale card was at Lotteria. I purchased the Hanwoo Set and got
two chicken filets for free. It was an okay deal but I wouldn't run out to Lotteria just for this deal. If you happen to be there just keep it in mind.

No idea what you're talking about. Lottemart is spend 50,000 to get 5,000 off. That may sound like nothing to some but if you are already going to shop there, anyway, why not take advantage of this deal? You have nothing to lose. |
