YAMUDA Sports Bike
* Brand NEW Cherry Red Paint
* CUSTOM Sports Covers
* Not a SINGLE scratch, glossy red with white trim and white Chinese character near the front sides.
* 125CC (so no motorcycle license is required), but runs GREAT and FAST. Engine is in 100% perfect condition, pristine.

Will Include:
# 3 helmets. 1 x Full face, red & white. 1 x Pink half face, female sized. 1 x Hard hat style, black.
# Heavy duty U-Lock
# UNCUTTABLE, Black, high-tensile chain, 5 meter long. NOTE: I bought this chain for 90,000 won from an industrial machine shop, extra long to wrap around a concrete block near my house. This is a very HEAVY chain made out of a steel/metal that can NOT be cut with even heavy duty chain cutters. A special machine is needed to cut it.
# Rain proof plastic trenchcoat

I bought this bike only 3 months ago, before I knew I was leaving. I purchased it with custom cover, and made an arrangement with a local motorcycle shop to store it (keep the battery charged, keep everything maintained) during the winter/snow season. This machine is my pride and joy. I'm pricing it to sell though, as I have no choice because I'm unexpectedly leaving the country.

1,200,000 won. This bike is BEAUTIFUL and runs GREAT. Not a single flaw or defect. So please don't try to bargain me down anymore than it already is. I'm taking a huge loss considering I just bought it a couple months ago.

Isn't there a regulation saying you have to get a small bike license for 125cc and under now? Or did that not go through?

Never heard of it, and that would seem pretty silly to me. Pretty sure there's no such thing, as I just registered and got insurance for this bike only 3 months ago and there was no such mention of it. I've been driver motorcycles in Korea for 2 years now (4 different bikes up till now), and the entire time my regular driver's license was all that was required.

I think the reg was supposed to apply to those getting K-Licenses after a certain date. I was curious because I'm going to get my K-License fairly soon and will be looking for a bike, I tried checking out your photos but they wouldn't work for me.

I do remember reading a post by a member here saying he had to take a test on a Citi Ace for a small bike license. Might be worth checking out for newbie drivers/bikers here in Korea.

That's weird. Doesn't make any sense to me. I got my K-license when I got here last the Jan before last (not the international license or trade-in license, I took the road test at the Korean DMV and everything). Also, I bought this bike I'm selling now from a dealer, they also didn't mention anything about a 'small motorcycles license.' I'm pretty confident there's no such "small bikes license," maybe it was something that was trying to be passed but I've never heard of it, and I have friends who bought bikes recently, as well as a friend in the DMV, and it's never been mentioned. Oh well, if someone really wanted to know, they could always call the DMV (called DLA in Korea if I'm not mistaken).

edit:
Oh, sorry I didn't reply to the pic issue. Here's some smaller pics from craigslist:

Your regular Korean drivers license covers a 125cc bike and under. Anything over than that you need to go to a hakwon or pass the road test at the dmv.

Will my international driver's licence allow me to ride a 125cc? How much is insurance for a 125cc?

Yes, as long as you have a license to drive normal vehicles, then it should cover 125cc. Insurance depends on your record, age, job, etc, but for me it was only about 200,000 a year.

Sure... just to clarify though, I meant as long as your license covers you for driving "In Korea." So just coming here with a license from any given country won't necessarily cover you. You'd have to check with the DLA about trading in your license, getting an international license, etc.

Yeah, I'm planning on getting an international licence before I leave Canada Smile (but I only have one that allows me to drive passenger cars, trucks, vans, etc...not motorcycles)
