Do I need to bring my actual diploma with me when I come to Korea (i.e. not just a copy)? I've heard this in passing, but I didn't have to last year when I worked at a hagwon.
If so, do I need to bring it on my carry on or with my checked stuff? Are they going to actually check it before I can get through immigration? Or is this just something to do with the GEPIK schools?
Thanks, I'm not dealing with a recruiter, so I would appreciate any extra info on this situation (as the coteacher who is dealing with my documents probably won't know about this). |

When I came over to work for GEPIK 2 years ago I was told I needed to bring my original degree. I didn't need it at the airport, it was only for my school to see and make a copy of.
Be prepared that you will not get it back in it's original form. Mine was folded several times and had ripped corners when they finally gave it back to me after having misplaced it for several months.
Hopefully your school will take better care of yours! |
