OK... Since there are people from all over the English speaking world on this board, and there is the ability to download any music you want, why not share some great bands with others? Just use the three bands that you would like to share.

I'll start...

I've been getting back into some of the bands that I listened to in college back in the day. Great bands like:

The Connells
Jackopierce
Dillon Fence

Let me know what your favorite local bands are!

So do you mean little known as in possible to find their stuff on the net, or do you mean little known like they might have self-produced an album that five people own?

If the former, here are my submissions, favorite being the key word:

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - simply the most passionate and necessary band in existence

Mates of State - a rockin duo you don't wanna miss

RJD2 - one of the most creative hip hop artists you will ever hear

Be Good Tanyas - amazing Dixie style female group that will melt you to a puddle of Bloodhound piss with one line of vocals

Find them all on the net and die sublime.

I've heard of quite a few of that lot. If we're talking obscure then how about the almighty 'STUMP'. I got there Peel sessions back home on vinyl and it is great stuff.

"City Folk" is a great band. Part of the band went to university with me so that's how I heard of them.
I have traveled hours (Guelph, Ontario to Detroit, Michigan) to see them play.
Good music and funny, funny guys.

I don't know if cdbaby ships to Korea but if so, buy it. At least there are some songs you can listen to on the site.
