The thought of learning Mandarin gives me a headache. I've got friends in Taiwan who moved there after living in Korea for a while and speaking good Korean. They say they just can't get their heads around Mandarin, due to the different symbols and the tonal differences.

I'll resign myself to probably not being able to learn it - I can use the excuse that, at age 24, I'm past the age where my brain absorbs everything like a sponge.

I'll stick with Korean for now, and maybe one day get around to improving my French. Ha.
