Doesn't it come with an 8gb micro SD card when you buy it?

The Galaxy S has a 16GB internal memory chip with a slot for an external chip. So he's offering a 4GB chip for the external slot bringing the total memory up to 20GB.

My galaxy has the internal memory, but it came with the removable 8g micro SD chip. My friend's galaxy came with the same. 2 different models, 2 different phone shops.

As Drew10 states the phone comes with internal 16gb NAND Flash and an external slot for a microSD. That fact doesn't suggest that every model sold in Korea will include a mircoSD card with it of any given size.

As for your phones coming with an 8GB microSD - thats great. It really all depends where you bought them and when.

The one I bought didn't come with that.

Anyways if you're not looking to buy a Galaxy S phone since you already have one, whats the point of your post? Boredom?

Yeah I just saw the store where I got my phone offering free 16GB cards when you open a new account. So it pretty much depends on the "specials" the stores are offering at the time you purchase your phone.

No. I have a Galaxy A (the one that came out in early 2010, a few months before the S) and was thinking of upgrading. I was interested, but was under the impression that Galaxy phones came with the 8gb micro SD chip. Clearly my friend and I had gotten lucky. It was just that it was 2 different carriers and models, so it seemed like it would have been standard. She has the Galaxy U.

Oh,ok. Sorry for misinterpreting your post. I thought when you said "my galaxy..." you meant the same model that I'm selling.

Are you running on Android 2.2 (Froyo) or an earlier version?
Have you maybe looked into uptrading your Galaxy A?

I'm still on an earlier version, as they haven't released an upgrade for non-S models, hence my interest. The uptrade price is pretty steep. I payed a pretty penny for this one, and got it RIGHT BEFORE the S came out (only a couple of months after this one came out), which really pissed me off.

It's still a great phone, though. I'm just interested in getting the S. Of course, the month after I get one, a newer version will come out.

You can ask away in the Technology forum. There should be tons of answers for you there.

Try the thread "Got me a Galaxy S" or something like that instead. This thread is for selling the thing.
