Hello,
I have a question regarding apartment rentals in central Seoul for those with experience: would it be possible to get a small furnished/semi-furnished one-room in either the Sookmyeong Women's University or Seoul Station area for 500,000 monthly rent plus 5 million key money?
Also, what is the best method to go about getting an apartment in those areas? Is going around knocking on real estate agents' doors still the most effective way?
I would be very appreciative of any advice people had to offer - I have never done this before.
Thanks |

Basically you will need to find a real estate agent, hopefully one that speaks English. The best way is to go to the area you are looking in and walk around to different real estate agents offices. Some of them will be more helpful then others. If you find this happening, just go on to the next one. Make sure you are specific with the location, size and type of apartment you want.
There is a real estate agent fee on renting apartment. I don't know what the current rate is for renting (we paid about 250,000 2 1/2 years ago, but negotiated a bit on the fee). |
