For those who missed it, the book is quite good.

The "Conference' was typical for Korean churches. They forget that to confer means to discuss, so instead having a speaker and several break out sessions for discussing related topics and brainstorming new solutions, it was like a really long church service with an interesting speaker. From a Christian's perspective it was unreasonably long. I can't imagine having sat through it as a non-believer. However, the book is not overly religious and it does describe things that are being done about human trafficking and what you can do to help. I can recommend it without qualification.
