Okay so here's the situation. I already have an F4 visa but it is due to expire in mid August of 2011. I've heard that due to a recent change in the law, those who are over 22 years old and whose names are not on the family registry cannot be eligible to obtain an F4 visa anymore. I am 23 years old and my name is not on the family registry. Does this mean I cannot renew my F4 visa? I plan to get a job in March so I'm wondering if I would have to get the e2 visa once my f4 expires. Thanks.

my situation is a little different because i'm adopted, but if it helps, i renewed mine last month and am 27. i filled out a form, paid the fee, and they put a new expiry date on my ARC.
you can renew it before it expires. you might as well go in and give it a try. there's nothing on the form about the family registry.
