|
|
I currently have a modem (or at least I think it is a modem and not a router) with only 1 ethernet port. Is there anyway I can increase the number of ethernet ports?
Is it possible to get more ethernet ports by connecting a router to my modem? And if so, would I need to know my IP/password combo? When the cable company set up my internet, they never gave me the IP or the password and just told me to call them and that I would need to pay extra if I wanted a wireless connection.
I don't really need the wireless connection but it sure would be nice to have more than 1 ethernet port. |

Yeah, just connect a router to the modem for more ports. The username/password and IP aren't needed if you're using cable. |

Hi, sorry for the late update. I'm still looking for a new router! Will let you know how that goes.
Happy Seul-nal! |
