Why would Homeland Security be involved in this? How does watching tv threaten national security?

It does suck. Channelsurfing is where I watch all my football and hockey. As far as paying for it, no, I simply am not going to do it. I'm especially not going to give more money to the greedy NFL. I don't pay for it back home and I won't pay for it here. If there aren't any sites to watch the games, then I just won't watch them...too bad, so sad. Plenty of other things to do.

Fromsport is still on, for my tennis needs. So It's ok. Channelsurfing was the least frustrating though...

Are you giving them any money to begin with, or do you think they should provide you with a service for free?

Yeah, Dr. Kalbi, but are those site as reliable as Channelsurfing. Channelsurfing offered all kinds of sports. I will say that veetle might be one of the best bets to watch the Super Bowl though.

Uh, no, northway, I'm not going to give them money. Period. And I don't believe that people back home are paying money to watch the NFL on NBC or Fox(and you get both of those channels for free, without cable packages). Again, if I can't get it here without paying for it, screw it. I'll do other things.

They shouldn't be forced to provide him with services for free, but at the same time, they don't deserve the kind of governmental protection they're getting. Intellectual property rights in America are totally out of control right now, and it's resulting in a number of problems, including the unjust enrichment of certain parties, the unjust criminalization of many citizens, and business models which are both less innovative and less consumer-focused. Net winner: ultra-wealthy corporate management. Net losers: almost everyone else. That's no way to run a society.

I'm no football fan, but even I can see how utterly ridiculous the current sports entertainment business model is, and the only reason it can persist in such a fashion is because it's propped up by what amounts to government protection. I support government intervention when it makes society a better place. In this case, it doesn't.

I don't disagree. If it comes to the government going against individuals for piracy, I'm very much against it. If it comes down to the government shutting down websites that are sources of piracy, I don't really see what basis we have to complain, even those of us who use those sites regularly.

Even on a live stream, I still see the commercials, so what is the problem, especially if the game is on a free channel like Fox or ABC?

I personally thought channelsurfing was really unreliable anyway. Veetle.com is much better, though it usually has less games.
