I just made an appointment here based on a recommendation from someone on this forum. Price for a routine cleaning seems to be about the same as everywhere else (60K) which was kind of surprising considering it's in Gangnam. This place seems to good to be true, even the receptionist answered the phone in English. Anyone have any experiences with this place?

Yeah, the cost of some things at Tufts seems about average. When I went for a root canal and crown, however, I was quoted 750,000 (that's *with* my National Health Insurance) and told that was the standard price at dental clinics all over town.

Then I went to another place--between Gangnam station and Kyobo Tower--and paid a grand total of 312,500 (with the same National Health Insurance card). Not sure why there was such a huge discrepancy between the two places.

I think it just depends on what's being done.

I will say that the dentist at Tufts did seem nice, though. Very personable and friendly.

I went here for some emergency dental work. I just walked in and they were able to fit me with temporary crowns immediately (no appointment required)! Dr. Sohn is great. She speaks flawless English and French and is really gentle. The dental hygienists and receptionists are extremely personable. While the cost is a little high, I think it was worth it for the clean and modern facilities and everything being in English. I had a minor problem with my crown colors not matching and she was very hesitant to fix the problem for me (because I assume it meant more trouble and money on her part), but she eventually gave in and I couldn't be happier with her work.

I've been here once too and actually have to go back for a filling soon. They were great and really honest when they told me I could still wait another 5 months before I get the filling. Everyone I ran into there also spoke excellent or fluent English and the prices with my insurance seemed good.

I definitely recommend them.
