|
|
Hey, it's my first time to stay in Korea during a longish holiday. I've heard that some of the big hotels have discount packages for people to come to Seoul while everyone heads out to their hometowns.
Have you heard of any of these?
Would love to spend a night or two in luxury instead of in my half frozen apartment.
Thanks! |

Joongang Daily features a column for this
As does Korea Times
As to whether or not these are actually "deals" is debatable. |

My wife and I are booked at the Ritz for a night...something like 168K + tax, quite a bit cheaper than a typical Friday night... |

Thanks for the links red_devil. I got through to the Grand Hilton only to be told that a room was going to cost 240000. I said "Oh, I read otherwise in the (English) newspaper." The man politely informed me that those packages advertised were only available to Koreans. We had a fun little back and forth about how that was a ridiculous policy made more absurd by the fact that it was featured in the country s major English publication. Then he gave me the room. Weird.
