| Okay, I'm looking for some vets that can give me some information about the E-2. Last year, I got my E-2 transferred to a new school(my 1st school closed). Therefore, my contract with my current school expires well after my E-2. Can I get another job? Or am I bound to this school until my contract expires? I've always been under the impression that once your E-2 expires, you are not committed to any school. Any advice? |

In this instance you are still liable to complete your contract. The school will apply for an extension of your E2 visa.  |

| If you want your bonuses you must stay. Immigration won't care one way or the other, and your school can't renew your visa without you. Give immigration a call or a visit. |
